In 1988 president of the UQ Student Union supported by the Queensland Government attempted to evict radio 4ZZZ from its premises at the University. Here is the report prepared by 4ZZZ at the time. Thanks to Peter Gray and Radical Times for this broadcast. Over 1,000 listeners and supporters turned up to defend the station. At the time 4ZZZ had about 95,000 listeners according to Rating Agencies.
In the podcast starting at 3' 10" and ending at 6' 32" is one of the emergency broadcasts used to rally support. It was broadcast from the transmitter hut on Mount Coot-tha.
