Erratum: Helen has claimed that was Hitler was elected democratically. Not true. Hitler's party was in a minority and he was not elected to any position in the Reichstag and certainly not the Presidency. While Nazis did become the largest party in the German parliament at one stage and Hitler managed to secure a significant number of votes for President, it was the terror that got Hitler to power not democratic elections. As the generals in Chile did in 1973 there was a subversion of a democratically elected government by fascists.
