Ian interviews historian Jeff Rickertt about saving the student union complex at the University of Queensland.

Jeff Rickertt: “It has to be a campaign that mobilises people … it has to be a public and noisy campaign … that challenges the smooth operation of the PR machine … our struggles today can draw on what’s happened in the past – the struggle against apartheid or against the police state. This is not just about the past, its not just about nostalgia, its about linking the struggles that came before us, with the struggles that are to come.”
