Comment by Ramzy Baroud about the court decision - #ICJ ruling is extremely important: It created the legal mechanism to end the genocide in #Gaza; it initiated the procedure of looking into the case of genocide; it renewed hope in intl. legal system, which has been made largely irrelevant due to US pressures and use of the veto.
Analysis - the International Court of Justice in The Hague would not be drawn into dispute with the UN security council and so intentionally left out of its orders South Africa's request for an immediate ceasefire. Something else has to be done the institutions of law and of international community have failed to people of Gaza and the people of the West Bank.
