Interview with Margarett MacPherson about Palm Sunday Peace Rally 2015.
Since the 1970s there have been peace rallies and marches in Brisbane held on Palm Sunday. In the past these rallies were organised by people like George Georges from the left of ALP. Since the ALP's shift to the right people from outside the ALP have taken on this task. For many years it was Joan Shears and her band of helpers. Over the past couple of years it has been organised by the committee for peace and disarmament . This year the rally for peace is organised jointly by Just Peace and the Refugee Action Collective. Ian speaks here with Margarett about the challenges that face the peace movement in 2015 and beyond.
