The Big Ride for Palestine has made it to Australia!

Our rolling protest in solidarity hits the roads from Brisbane to Byron
The ride is from 4th-6th of August leaving Queens Park in Brisbane CBD at 3.30pm Friday 4th August and arriving at Denning Park Byron Bay about 5pm on Sunday 6th August.
The Big Ride is now in its third year and getting bigger
Ride commemorates the 50th anniversary of Israel’s military occupation of Gaza and the West Bank, and the 10 year illegal siege of Gaza
Brisbane, 4th August
This weekend there will be over 20 riders donning a Palestine jersey to raise awareness of the situation in the Middle East by cycling through the towns and cities from Brisbane, Logan, Tweed and Brisbane.
Riders from all backgrounds and faiths take part because they want to be a beacon of hope for the people of Palestine showing that all over the world there is support for the Palestinian cause and an aim to bring about peace in the region.

A twin ride with over 120 riders will be taking place from Liverpool to Sheffield in United Kingdom at the same time.
Manal Monsour, lead organiser of the Big Ride, said:
“We’re proud to have the Big Ride happening in Australia, making it an international movement. We are please to have so many riders joining us, and to have raised already over $6000 for children’s education in Hebron. We are looking forward to spreading understanding and awareness about the Palestinian plight within our local community.”
