PART 3
At the end of 2017 Aleea travelled to do a three-month internship with ASHTAR Theatre company in Ramallah, Palestine. Against a backdrop of the Trump decision to move the American Embassy to Jerusalem, ongoing apartheid and genocide, and the ongoing detention of Palestinians, including Palestinian Children like Ahed Tamimi, Aleea talks to her experience of living in Ramallah and traveling in Palestine. She will talk to photos from her travels, of Jerusalem, Hebron, Ramallah, Jenin and Jerico and address the role of theatre and the arts in the Palestinian community, specifically the work of ASHTAR Theatre.
