In July 2015, the USS Blue Ridge moored on the north side of the Brisbane river (Meanjin) near the old Hamilton No 4 wharf. This ship was participating in the Talisman Sabre exercises in Rockhampton along with Australian & Japanese ships. It was guarded by two police boats on the water nearby.
