Pauline Black is a British singer, actress and author. She is mainly known for her role as the lead singer of the ska group The Selecter. The Selecter are a 2 Tone ska revival band from Coventry, England, formed in mid-1979 who feature a racially diverse line-up. Their lyrics cover themes connected to politics, racism and other social issues.
