That being said, the first half of the show is Frank working off a little pre-show nihilism, bordering on existential crisis. Gadget Doc calls in to distract the baby Frank with a rattle and lead him safely toward less rocky shores. It's all good; this show was designed to be a punching bag for all.
Then we rattle off a really tight salvo of commentary over Bill Clinton's misstep with Charlie Rose; an anchor who reads everything on his teleprompter without question, whose name is not Ron Burgundy; and the FBI has apparently been letting 3rd Graders run forensics for them the last few decades.
Wednesday night show will be tight, and full-length. The frustration will be used to fuel satire.
