Both liberalism and conservatism agree that society works better, long term, when drivers stop at red lights. But there are other equally consequential laws that conservatism recognizes while liberalism dismisses. For instance, life for everyone deteriorates and eventually collapses when a high percentage of men lack all self-discipline and self-restraint. Most recognize that those qualities are best nurtured within children raised by their natural father and mother married to one another.
