This week on #AllPodcastsMatter we have a eulogy for Cam Newton. He is officially dead to us. We rooted for him in the Super Bowl, even in loss he was our champion.
Until he decided that we lived in an America that had officially gotten over racism.
Ellen tweeted a photo picturing her riding on the back of the fastest man alive Usain Bolt. Many people found this picture to be highly offensive considering the historical context of the photo. Ellen then said she understood there is racism and she is far from it. We don't actually think Ellen is racist, but was she did is offensive and her apology was terrible.
In movie news Keane has a solid theory as to why DC films are awful. Henry Cavill reveals a small image of a black Superman costume. Zendaya Coleman is cast as Mary Jane in Spider-Man Homecoming. While celebrating this occasion we list characters in comics that have been white washed over the years. Most notably April O' Neil of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. TMNT was kind of a socially conscious book, it had a black news reporter and a black scientist in Baxter Stockman.
