French producer Matthieu Faubourg is a name you may have heard recently. He was involved in the ‘Fair EP’ on STRCTR Records - a Various Artist compilation that included Dubstriker, Harrison BDP and MonooZ.

Faubourg's debut album on Jazzy Couscous (recently released Kumo No Muko Vol 2 comp) sees him express deeper shades of his personality. Taking almost a year to compose and written in Vienna, the first track produced was “Winter will be long”. It announces the long and cold winter nights coming over the city and the atmosphere that it creates. The snow, the cold, the fog, the empty streets. The album was created around the central idea of sobriety. Matthieu's plan was to conjure up a soundtrack that envelops body and soul, like a journey for the mind. In particular ‘If You Care' that features German vocalist Meggy.
The album title is a quote by Leonardo Da Vinci which resonates with Matthieu. It comes complete with an energetic remix from man of the moment Byron The Aquarius, who adds his groove, swing and rhythm, taking the track to the club.
