This new series aims at delivering music to relax to or to escape with. The series will showcase a mixture of sounds to dive in, contemporary rhythms that cross genres following the pulse of the world.
Far from mainstream this series is reaching out to real heads, drawing inspiration from RnB, Nu-Soul, Dub and Ambient, as well as the world of Electronic music.
The first release for RAISED series is coming from mysterious beat maker Midnight Chocolate Gospel.
A dormient Akai MPC ninja who had found time and inner peace during Covid to be able to dust off his machines and get back to music production. His music is permeated by a range of different influences and his production skills and style are highly inspired by the likes of Willie Hutch and Kaytranada. His debut on Taste Rec. is a 6-tracks mini-LP that fully captures his aesthetic, forged by his roots and influences. The album is a mixture of Electronica, Hip Hop beats and Soul sonorities. Each tune is driven by groovy bass lines, cheeky percussion loops, dreamy strings, as well as piano and guitars and sampled vocals. The result is an outstanding and unique body of work: a pleasure for the listeners' ears, without compromising on getting their body moving.
