Partyfine is the French label founded by electronic DJ and producer, Yuksek, back in 2013. It’s a fully independent operation where all levels of production are covered off in-house at the Reims based studio, from recording and mixing, to mastering and distribution, all executed under the one Partyfine roof. With no musical boundaries, it’s output spans disco to electro, indie leaning all the way to the club. Yuksek has simply extended his vast experience of writing music for a lot of great artists, to writing great music with these artists. Partyfine also throws down some very serious parties.
At the start of the new millenium Yuksek released some records that laid the fondation for a sound that combines both disco and pop influences with modern and darker electronic production chops, merging his love for the New York scene, a long line of classy French electronic producers, Anglo Saxon wares of the 70s, and more exotic flavours gleaned from his expansive travels. He has produced, remixed and collaborated with Gorillaz, Phoenix, UGOD, Lana Del Rey, JD Samson, Boston Bun, Breakbot, Brodinski, The Magician, and Alex Metric. He has spent a chunk of time writing for film, television and stage, making his first original film score in 2014, Marguerite and Julien, a film by Valeěrie Donzelli at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival. With releases on Razor-N-Tape, Classic, and Universal, colloborations with Polo&Pan, Fatnotronic, and Bertrand Burgalat, and as the Saturday night prime time resident on the airwaves of Radio Nova, Yuksek continues to circle the world with his in-demand DJ skills.
While working on his forthcoming album, he was exploring his hard drives and came across these tracks that had been forgotten. Once played loud as rough edits, Yuksek has tuned, tweaked, and finally finished the tracks ! The ‘Clean Drive EP’ is a collection of these forgotten gems, five sample based reworks in the Latin and Disco zone, that serve as some excellent DJ tackle. Released exclusively on Bandcamp for your listening and disco dancing pleasure.
