Charles III was formally proclaimed as king at a historic ceremony at St James's Palace on Saturday morning. This was followed by a wave of further proclamations across the UK, including Durham City and Bishop Auckland, where Bishop Auckland Mayor Michael Siddle gave the following message to the gathered crowd, introduced by Dr Bob McManners, Deputy Lord Lieutenant of County Durham.
