We caught up with David Matthews on Monday morning...
David Matthews has begun a two year journey and will be walking approx 6,000 miles
· To walk from Doncaster round the country to visit and to do a shift answering callers at every Samaritan branch in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland.
· If possible to join up with the Samaritans Festival Branch and take part in their work at music festivals.
· To recruit 1,000 new Samaritan Volunteers.
· To raise £100,000 to help fund the Samaritans work and particularly Doncaster Samaritans.
· To increase public awareness of the service that Samaritans provide.
