Hebrews 8:6-13
There are many people who have received Jesus as their Lord and Savior, but are still living like their standing before God is based on their performance. They know that they have not lived perfect lives, and think that God will not use them because of that. They think that they have to reach some state of perfect sinlessness before God will answer their prayers or even consider them His child. It’s like they got saved under the New Covenant and then live their lives like they are still under the Old Covenant. There are no unemployment lines in the Kingdom of God. There is no probationary period you must fulfill before you can be considerd worthy. Your sin does not separate you from Him, only your unbelief.
