The Confident Christian
I Corinthians 15:19
There are several different kinds of Christians that we see today:
The casual Christian, worshipping occasionally, little interest, nonchalant.
The comfortable Christian. Worship place better be comfortable, sermons better make them feel good, and they shy away from anything that goes against their comfort.
The convenient Christian. Their faith is driven by convenience, and fails when it is challenged by true discipleship.
The cultural Christian who just goes along in what they have grown up in, with no deep commitment.
The misdirected committed Christian who is committed to something lower than being a disciple of Jesus. They may simply be committed to a cause or a congregation, but not to Jesus as Savior and Lord.
All of these live in a “hope so,” “iffy,” shallow faith.
Then there is the confident Christian, who lives a rich, deep, rewarding life of confidence in their Savior and God.
