Peter utterly failed his Lord and himself when he denied the Lord on the night of His arrest. How could he ever face the Lord or his fellow disciples after that? What he didn't understand was that he needed to fail in this particular way to be prepared to be the fisher of men the Lord called him to be. He had to fail before he could grow.
