Luke 4:16-21
We are in a series entitled “Whom the Son Sets Free” and in our scripture lesson from the 4th Chapter of Luke today, we hear Jesus announcing His mission here on earth. He has come to set us free from things that have been binding us, hindering us and holding us captive. He has come to set us free from things we have done in the past and things others have done to us in the past. He has come to set us free from things that are holding us prisoner in the here and now.
One of the things that holds us prisoner and keeps us separated from God is our sin. The enemy has been using it to steal, kill and destroy us since Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. The enemy is a liar, and will use a multitude of lies to keep us from God. Today, we’re examining just three of the most prevalent and very serious lies about sin.
