John 7:37-44

The word says that God has put eternity in our hearts. We have a spiritual thirst. Until we have that spiritual thirst slaked, most people walk around with an unnamed earning...sometimes an unnamed dread. They don't know what it is, but they are satisfied. They aren't fulfilled and they thirst for that nameless commodity.
They try to fill that thirst for whatever they think it is, peace, wealth, fame, etc) in worldly ways and they eventually find that none of the avenues they tried have worked.
Jesus knows what you need to quench that thirst. That's the river of living water (running water) he's offering here. And he's offering today. The Holy Spirit was just a promise when Jesus spoke these words, but it a promise awaiting your invitation today.
