1Corinthians 2:1-5

so that your faith would not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God. (1 Corinthians 2:5)

THE CHURCH IS LOSING ITS MOORINGS, AND IN THE PROCESS, ITS MESSAGE.
I’m afraid that many in the United States church are placing their faith in the wisdom of men instead of the power of God. Although they may be trying to do good works in God’s name, they have fallen into the idolatry of listening to people instead of God. In the course of doing so, they have found themselves in a mess, and far from God.
They have become the very people that Paul warns Timothy about:
But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these. (2 Timothy 3:1-5)
They have placed their faith in ideological idols instead of the power of God, but they can turn back in an instant.
