Luke 15:25-32
In the Parable of the Prodigal Son, the point that Jesus is making to sinners, tax-collectors, Scribes, Pharisee, to you and to me, is that when you come to yourself, and respond to Jesus’ invitation to come home, you’re not simply allowed home and tolerated. You are welcomed and you are wanted.
That’s what the fatted calf is all about.
