Matthew 21:1-11, Philippans 2:5-11
Biblical obedience to God means to hear (really hear), trust, submit and surrender to God and his Word.
Jesus said that you would know people by their fruit, and obedience to the Lord is one of the most prominent fruits in the Christians’s life.
Jesus said that it was the evidence of loving Him: “If you love me, you will keep my commandments.
Obedience doesn’t bring salvation, it is the tangible result of salvation.
It’s not always easy; it requires us sometimes to humble ourselves, to set aside what we want in oder to do what we know that God wants.
It’s not always convenient; but it’s always pleasing to the Lord, and that’s what it’s all about.
