Many today do not want hell to be a part of any Christian conversation, yet Jesus spoke more about hell that all other Biblical authors combined.
If we believe that the Bible is God’s Word, and that the words of Jesus in it are true, then how can we call ourselves followers of Christ and deny the existence of something He thought was so very important.
A sound, Biblical understanding of hell:
1. Affirms how totally dependent on God we are for everything.
2. Pinpoints the seriousness and danger of living a self-centered life.
3. Helps us begin to grasp the depth of Jesus’ love for us and our great value in His sight.
