Description

In our pluralistic society, anyone who takes Jesus’ claim to be the only way to heaven seriously is slapped with labels such as “intolerant,” “narrow-minded,” “hateful,” “arrogant’ and “bigot.”
In John 14:6 Jesus says, “I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father but by me.”
In making this claim, Jesus puts Christianity in a class by itself, because if the way to God the Father is only through Him, then Christianity cannot be reconciled with any other religion.
Interestingly, although 83% of people in the U.S. claim to be Christians, only 12% of them believe that Christianity the only true faith. This means that over 262 million people who call themselves Christian do not believe the words of the One they claim to follow.
No wonder there are schisms and disputes in the Church Jesus prayed would be one! If we cannot agree with our Leader, how can we ever be in agreement with each other?
