THE LAW OF GREATNESS
Matthew 18:1-4

All of us, to some degree or the other have this desire for greatness deep within our soul.
Actually, it is very understandable, because god has placed a sense of destiny deep within each of us.
In fact, the Bible says,“He has set eternity in the hearts of men.” (Ecclesiastes 3:11)
The problem is, that since The Fall, that connection to significance and eternity has been smudged and turned into something tainted by pride, self-seeking and self-centeredness.
“There’s nothing that makes you more miserable, or less interesting than self-absorption.” Dr. Tim Keller
Jesus warned about how this fallen, self-centered seeking for greatness was easy to fall into, even in religious settings. He called it the “Leaven of the Pharisees.” (Matthew 16:6)
Into all of the self-centered misdirection of this world, Jesus tells us that He “has come to seek and to save that which is lost.”
He has come to call us out of the influence and ways of the world into His Kingdom.
And as we step out of the world and into His Kingdom, all of a sudden, our sense of destiny and eternity is validated and put right.
