When Jesus heard the religious people grumbling because He was associating with the deplorables of that time, and ate with them, He responded. He shared three parables with them that carried stinging indictments against them: The Lost Sheep, The Lost Coin and the Lost Son.
The parables were directed at the religious people, and as a whole, suggested that everything that they had learned, everything that they has heard, everything they believed and everything they thought they know about being in a right relationship with God was WRONG!
As Dr. McMahon examines this first parable, The Parable of the Lost Sheep, though, we discover we can also learn a lot about OUR relationship with God and each other.
