Ephesians 5:5-14
At the beginning of the Gospel of John, we read these words:
“But as many as received Him, He gave to them authority to become the children of God, to those who believe on His name..” (John 1:12)
The word translated here as “authority” also means “power” and “right.”
Power, authority and rights are given to be exercised, not ignored.
Christians who have been born into the Kingdom of God are called to live like it.
Although many today want to use the excuse, “I have no choice,” the Bible makes it clear that God has given us the power of choice since the beginning of time.
