Luke 15:17-24
When the Prodigal Son returned to his father, the father immediately gave him three gifts that signify three things that our Heavenly Father give us when we come to Him through Jesus, His Son.
He gave him a robe, a ring and shoes.
Last week we saw that the Robe reflects the Robe of Righteousness that the Lord covers us with, that shows that we are in a right standing with God. It’s an expensive robe. Our righteousness was purchased with Jesus’ Blood at Calvary. It isn’t earned, it’s a gift.
Today I want to tell you about the Ring. The ring showed everyone that the father had granted him the authority of a son or daughter. You have authority as a son or daughter of God. How do we walk in that authority, though?
