What Are You Waiting For?
Joshua 18:1-4
This Advent I think God wants us to really become aware similarities between this Old Testament story and the story of a lot of Christians today.
1. By inheritance the land belonged to them, They were Abraham’s seed and heirs according to the promise.
2. They had been told to take possession experientially of what was theirs legally.
3. They were dragging their feet when it came to stepping in and taking possession of what was theirs.
It’s the same s in the church today.
The word of God is rich with Gods promises toward His children, yet they are not personally appropriating them and walking in them by faith.
You see, this is the current message of Advent. “Just like we can’t sit in a folding chair if we don’t open it, we can’t discover and live in the promises of God if we don’t open the Bible and our hearts and appropriate them.
