Job 38:1-11
There are people today in the church who are trying to tell us Christianity is outdated, and needs to get with the times on the issues of salvation, sexuality, morality and more. These are people who are darkening counsel. Like Job and his friends at the beginning, they try to be experts in something they know nothing about.
I’ve been told by one person in this group that words like “heresy”, and “blasphemy” aren’t to be used any more. If we bought into that, wouldn’t it mean that there are no standards or norms to go by in the church concerning such things as the deity and humanity of Jesus (which is where most heresies gravitate) and that it is okay to smear and insult the Lord?
Darkened counsel steers away from and casts confusion around God’s will and God’s plans.
We need to make sure we don’t become guilty of this sin.
