If you were asked to name a strong First Lady, a name like Eleanor Roosevelt might come to mind.
But another name to consider is Lady Bird Johnson.
Betty Boyd Caroli’s new book, “Lady Bird and Lyndon: The Hidden Story of a Marriage That Made A President,” paints a portrait of a strong woman who played a bigger role in LBJ’s political career than most thought.
Caroli will appear at the authors series at the Louisville Free Public Library tonight (Thurs) at 7:00.
She talked with WFPL’s Bill Burton about the book.
