Description

Darryl Goodner fell in love with ice cream making when he was 19. Years later, Goodner is now the co-founder of Louisville Cream and makes 70 gallons of ice cream a week in a variety of flavors. His favorite is Bulleit Bourbon with pralines, pecans and corn flakes with a salted caramel swirl.

Louisville Cream is sold wholesale, as well as at farmer’s markets and local restaurants. WFPL’s Roxanne Scott caught up with Goodner at Cooper and King’s distillery, one of the places that sells his ice cream. He starts with what led him to making the cold stuff.
