Description

This year’s winner of the Grawemeyer Award for Education is Sara Goldrick-Rab. Goldrick-Rab is a professor of higher education policy and sociology at Temple University. Her book, Paying The Price, is about the struggle to pay for a college education in the United States. As part of the research for the book, she tracked 3,000 students over six years who entered college in Wisconsin.

Goldrick-Rab spoke with WFPL’s Roxanne Scott about her work. Their conversation begins with the relationship between access to college -- and food.
