For the first time since the Affordable Care Act was implemented, there are fewer choices for people buying insurance on the federal health insurance exchange.
Aetna, United Healthcare, Cigna and the Kentucky Health Cooperative have all stopped selling insurance for these customers in Kentucky. As a result, prices are going up. The companies say offering insurance through the health exchange isn’t profitable.
