Lowbit Records are pleased to present the up-and-coming Russian producer Anton Stelsi with his track Control, backed by some very accomplished remixes, for their next release.
The original springs into action quickly as the hypnotic tribal drum groove is joined by meandering arpeggiators and mysterious vocals. Further layers of synths are added which captivate and tantalize, casting their light across the St. Petersberg skyline. They continue to evolve in the break and then the beauty of the vocals is exposed which creates a hands-raised, eyes closed moment of sonic bliss before snare rolls mark to re-emergence of the other elements, which do not disappoint.
Lowbit favorite Chaum steps up with the first remix. Techy loops and upfront drums set the deep and brooding tone with the bassline and synths adding energy and vibrance. Ethereal stabs and snares build the energy as layers of sound are combined effortlessly to create a deeper, darker, but highly engaging foil to the original.
Label bossman Sonic Union steps up next. His remix sparks into life immediately, focusing on the floaty arpeggiators and a stripped-back drum groove. The vocals are used skillfully to build the energy and the spacey, funk-tinged progressive bassline drives the track forward with style and swagger. The showstopping lead line is unleashed expertly in the break to project us all into the next dimension.
