Label stalwart Nichols is back with a fresh new Lowbit EP, keeping the momentum going from recent releases on Selador and Strange Town. Having kept busy during the lockdown in the UK with production work, he now delivers two original tracks as part of his "Kinetics" EP.
Kicking things off is the melodic driven "Forbidden Star" pushing forward through layers of delicate melodies underpinned by smooth drums and layers of bubbling, staccato, and acid-tinged basslines.
"Kinetic" on the other hand is a much darker, dystopian affair with dissonant leads, hypnotic arpeggios, housier drums, and a deep, rolling bassline, which provides the perfect foil for the dreamier "Forbidden star".
