Description

Julie kicks off the show giving Docs one of those rare social assists with a PTN relevant peloton story. At (10:00) we are joined by Bryn Mawr Running Company owner Bob Schwelm, who starts off telling us about how he got his start in the specialty running store space. At (16:30) Bob talks about his transition from soccer to running in college and talks about his first marathon that fortunately kicked off the decades marathon streak. At (22:28) Bob tells us his 96 NYC marathon story, running for the NYPD and his 15 minutes of fame. At (27:34) we talk a bit about Olympic qualifiers, dive more into the six decades under 3 hour marathon list and discuss some of the things he believes has helped keep him healthy and consistent. At (45:00) we talk about how the digital age has changed running. We come back at (50:48) to wrap up the interview. At (53:00) Docs talks about a movie that he watched on the plane, Brittany Runs a Marathon before (59:00) Docs tells a hotel story. At (1:01:00) we talk a little bit about PTN going to the Olympic Marathon trials and at (1:02:30) Galen Rupp has a new coach.
