Description

We open the show giving away a bunch of clues about a new grocery store near Docs house that we do not want people to know about. At (8:30) we are joined by our guest Ariel Tweto, who starts off the interview talking about being in nature, running outdoors and some of the wild beasts that we have encountered on the trails. At (11:34) we talk about how she got started in the industry with her reality show Flying Wild Alaska. At (21:03) Ariel tells us about a documentary that she co-stars in, Into Americas Wild, which just had its Washington DC premiere. At (28:28) we talk about Ariels running streak, getting a run in every day since Aug 2, 2001, including some of the challenges that she has faced keeping the streak alive and her running inspiration. At (39:29) Ariel talks about popping bubbles, a suicide prevention charity working with the community to help pop the social and physical barriers that prevent people from living happy and successful lives. At (45:20) we close out the interview with some quick questions. We are back at (50:27) to wrap up the interview, talk more survivor and thank our guest for bringing coffee. At (55:40) we have another carbon plate shoe update and Docs pitches a new shoe idea for the Olympic Trials. At (1:05:18) Julie and Farley coerce Docs into another William Docs Row (Rant of the Week), which is running related this time but also includes headphone volume, bears, high school friends, engagements spots, holiday cards and the greatest running trail in the world. At (1:14:15) we have a sad story about a couple of High School Track runners from Oklahoma who were killed by a drunk driver while running. We close out at (1:16:15) with some feedback from the Erin Gregoire story from last weeks show.
