Laura Thweatt professional marathon runner for Saucony is on Pace The Nation this week. She talks about her running - her 5th place finish at the Olympic Marathon trials in 2021 (a conversation she has with Des Linden who Julie was texting during the interview)and her 8th place finish at this past years NY City Marathon.
Laura trains and lives in Louisville, Colorado. The Marshall Fires deviated her town. Six families from the Track team at Monarch high school, where Laura coaches, lost their homes. Laura mobilized a Go Fund Me and raised over $30,000 for those families. We talk about that and her perspective on life after the horrible fires.
