Old Time/Americana - Some of you may recognise the name of this episode's guests from the episode featuring Nottingham's 'The Most Ugly Child'. Well this episode is brought to you with thanks to 'The Most Ugly Child' and their 'Deep River Revue' concert series. Last weekend at the beginning of their UK tour with Sturgill Simpson, Daniel Meade and the Flying Mules were invited down from Glasgow to Nottingham as a part of this concert series to play a show at The Maze. It was a fantastic show featuring some brilliant live music and an enthusiastic crowd.
As an aside, if you have the opportunity to check out Daniel Meade and The Flying Mules near you, be sure to watch out for the lead guitar playing of Lloyd Reid. It's slow and quick in all the right places and he has a great feel for a melody! I really enjoyed that part of their live show too!
