Alt Folk - This week it's the turn of acoustic/alt-folk singer-songwriter Jamie Beau. If you like your guitar playing with a little more slap, then you're in the right place. Jamie Beau is a great singer and songwriter who blends percussive elements into his playing, creating a full sound featuring great melodies and rhythms. I really enjoyed listening to Jamie play when he was here, the two live tracks are fantastic, but my favourite has to be the last track in the episode, Forbode. It comes from his upcoming album, I think it could easily be a sombre acoustic Bond theme.
