Tanja Vujinovic’s techno album “The Motherboard” is inspired by gaming culture and social VR spaces where she hosts raves parties within her virtual reality artworks that double as clubbing spaces.
Each track on The Motherboard album stems from her appreciation of harder styles of electronic music. Most notably, Techno has special importance for her. Inspired by the underground spirit of the early rave movement and its P.L.U.R. (peace, love, unity, respect) ethos, she creates soundscapes out of pure love and passion for sharing music with others. Inspired by her digital sculptures, pop culture, or wordplay that emerged in conversations with her friends, she captures poetic moments in time and makes compositions that seem to enable us to step into a constant flow of good energy.
Tanja Vujinović is a visual and sound artist who creates cybernetic artifacts and has exhibited new media artworks internationally for 25 years while exploring subjects of play, identity, and synthetic Other using virtual reality, digital sculpture, game engines, and electronic music.
Deriving from her prominent and internationally successful visual art practice, and influenced by gaming culture, Tanja Vujinovic's unique sound appears amid her virtual worlds as futuristic electronic music. Her total works of art are whimsical, playful, deep techno soundscapes and imaginary landscapes woven from facts and dreams.
