On Saturday Jan. 14, 2017, more than 100 UC Irvine School of Law faculty, staff, students, alumni, and attorneys came together at UCI Law to discuss the potential effects of a new presidential administration on a variety of legal practices. The event began with an opening plenary of speakers, featuring Pablo Alvarado, Founder and Executive Director, National Day Laborer Organization; Erwin Chemerinsky, Dean of UCI Law; Jacqueline Dan, Staff Attorney, Asian Americans Advancing Justice-OC; Kaaryn Gustafson, Professor of Law and Co-Director, Center on Law, Equality and Race, UCI Law; Ameena Mirza Qazi, Executive Director, National Lawyers Guild Los Angeles; and Angelo Logan, Co-founder, East Yard Communities for Environmental Justice.
