Shadow Republik is a creative collective moniker of artist, singer songwriter & producer Rocksteady. The whole concept was based on the idea of having a group of activists from all over Africa uniting and creating a new sonic interpretation of our age, time and space. Shadow Republik is an idea of a creative collective existing in the shadows almost like a anonymously band or should we say the face-less band, the band that's a myth, sort of juxtaposing creative concepts and fusing music and art, beautifying spaces and occupying minds with the right ideas to overcome everyday challenges.
