The Green Bay Packers have released former Pro Bowler Mike Daniels on the day before training camp. Daniels had 1 year left in his contract, and will cost the Packers $2.8 million in dead cap, but free up $8 million.
This will most likely lead to Rashan Gary or one of the Smiths taking his spot, rotating in with recently extended player Dean Lowry.
