The music composed by @Luke-Slater as The 7th Plain between 1993-1995 explores the deep space of the imagination – here with previously unreleased track “JDC”. Whether built on percussive frameworks or sweeping nebulas of dissipated sound, Slater’s synthesizers still sing inner and outer space-travelers’ tales compellingly and beautifully. They also serve as a reminder that the backroom, solo headphone voyage and chillout should never be thought of as far removed from the dancefloor.
