Brezdomstvo je pogosto skrito pod plaščem institucionalnega varstva. Predsednica društva socialnih delavk in delavcev Slovenije Simona Ratajc pravi, da centri za socialno delo pojava prikritega brezdomstva sistematično ne spremljajo.
